BATTLE of CONTAINMENT
As I shared with you last week…
One of the things satan does to hinder the progress of Believers… IS… to try to contain them…
So they never move beyond their current circumstances…
THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES that I’m talking about ARE… WHAT A THEY SEE… and… HEAR… happening in the NATURAL REALM…!
The Battle of Containment Love: The Anointing to Prosper (Part 3)
satan wants to keep us contained in a state of “not having enough” or “never being complete” so that… we can’t and will NEVER experience the FULLNESS OF GOD.
GOD wants US to live abundantly with NOTHING missing… broken… needed… or… even wanted… in our lives.
He wants us to be complete in Him…and enjoy the fullness of life.
God wants us to have far over and beyond…all we dare to ask or think
Our EVIDENCE:
Ephesians 3:14-21
14 For this reason… I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ… 15 from whom… the whole family in heaven… and… earth IS NAMED… 16 THAT He would grant you… according to the riches of His glory… to be strengthened with might… through His Spirit in the inner man…
17 THAT… Christ may dwell in your hearts… through faith…
THAT… YOU… being rooted and grounded in love… 18 may be able to comprehend… with all the saints… what is the width… and… length… and …depth… and… height… 19 TO KNOW the love of Christ… which passes knowledge…
THAT you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him… who is able to do exceedingly abundantly… above all that… we ask or think…
according to the POWER THAT works in US…
21 To HIM be glory… in the church… by Christ Jesus… to ALL generations… forever… and… ever... Amen…
NOW…The “over and beyond”- life…describes the fullness of God… which is… a life…THAT IS… complete through Him.
What does it mean to be filled with the fullness of God?
It means there is nothing missing… or broken… in our lives.
We are complete in Him… with no needs… or… wants.
In other
words… we are in a state of peace…
that… passes ALL understanding.
The LOVE OF CHRIST… IS the master key to entering the fullness of God.
Jesus’ law of love States THIS…:
“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God… with all thy heart… and… with all thy soul… and…with all thy mind”
Matthew 22:37
Luke’s version of the commandment adds… “and… with all thy strength”
Luke 10:27
A person’s “strength” IS… his or her wealth… possessions… and… influence in life…HERE IN THE NATURAL REALM
THE WORD OF GOD
TELLS US IN …
1 John 4:7-8 THAT
GOD IS LOVE…
When love is our motive… we continually abide in God …because… He IS LOVE.
Therefore… in all that we do… as Christians…
Praying… giving… obeying… and… serving… WE must be motivated by love and NOT by selfishness
Otherwise… failure is inevitable.
We will NOT be able to get things to work … in the Kingdom of God…
When we live… and… abide in the love of God… we can’t be contained by the enemy.
The POWER that works in US…IS…the LOVE OF GOD.
The most accurate definition of Kingdom prosperity… IS… Having GOD manifest Himself to YOU.
Our EVIDENCE:
1 Kings 3-5
GOD appeared to Solomon… because… he gave affectionately … and…
sacrificially… to honor Him…
However… Solomon did NOT give a thousand burnt offerings… to cause God to appear to him…
He gave out of affection for God…and…His people.
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee” Psalm 122:6
Those who love God… and …His people…will prosper…
NOT those who love to prosper.
“But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is HE that giveth thee power to get wealth” Deuteronomy 8:18
GOD IS LOVE: Therefore… it is LOVE… THAT gives us the POWER… to be successful.
The Holy Spirit… pours the love of God in our hearts… when we become Christians…
SCRIPTURES…
ACTUALLY TELL US… THAT… THE LOVE OF GOD IS POURED DOWN INTO US… FILLING US UP…
TO OVERFLOWING … SO THAT… OTHERS MAY PROSPER FOR BEING WITH US…AS LOT DID WITH ABRAHAM…
AND THEN… PEOPLE WILL SEE WHAT WE HAVE… AND DESIRE IT…TOO.
Our EVIDENCE:
(Romans 5:5)…
WE RECEIVE… POWER ABILITY...EFFICIENCY …and…MIGHT… When the Holy Spirit comes upon us…as we see in Acts 1:8
The enemy…has placed a wall of containment around us… because… many of us don’t know… that… the POWER WE RECEIVE FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT…IS LOVE
The gift of GOD within US… IS…LOVE
2 Timothy 1:6
GOD has NOT given us a spirit of fear… but of love… power… and… a sound mind
2 Timothy 1:7
MY FRIENDS…FEAR does NOT come from God
Satan wants US to FEAR …that… what God has said…will NOT come to pass.
You know…
Whomever we LOVE… WE HONOR.
Proverbs 3:9-10 Tell us to…
Honor the Lord with your substance… esteem Him HIGHER… than… material things…
The woman with the alabaster box… valued Jesus… more than… the precious perfume she owned…As we see in
Matthew 26:6-13
6 And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper… 7 a woman came to Him… having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil
… and…
she poured it on His head… as He sat at the table...
8 But… when His disciples saw it… they were indignant… saying…
“Why this waste? 9 For this fragrant oil… might have been sold for much… and… given to the poor.”
10 But… when Jesus was aware of it… He said to them…
“Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me.
11 For… you have the poor
with you always… BUT… Me… you do not have always.
12 For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body… she did it for My burial.
13 Assuredly… I say to you…wherever this gospel is preached… in the whole world… what this woman has done… will also… be told as a memorial to her.”
She esteemed Jesus higher than wealth… and… gave out of her honor …and…affection for Him.
1 John 3:13-15
IS OUR EVIDENCE: THAT…
Our love for one another… is proof… that… we have become born-again Christians
13 Do not marvel… my brethren… if the world hates you.
14 We know… that… we have passed from death to life… because… we love the brethren... He who does not love his brother… abides in death.
15 Whoever hates his brother… is a murderer… and… you know that… no murderer… has eternal life… abiding in him.
I want to take a minute and explain this for a better understanding…
13 Do not marvel… my brethren… if the world hates you.
14 We know… that… we have passed from death to life… because… we love the brethren...
This is the part that’s pretty clear…without any problem…
However…
When we move forward into the next portion…it gets a little muddy…
He who does not love his brother… abides in death.
This
means…that If you don’t love your fellow man…then you are living a dead
life…one without purpose…power…hope…
and love…
15 Whoever hates his brother… is a murderer… and… you know that… no murderer… has eternal life… abiding in him.
This portion of the scripture …means that… when you have no love in your heart…no compassion at all for your fellow man…then… you kill him… over and over again…
BECAUSE… you keep him DEAD in your heart.
NOW…Because of that…you are considered by God… to be a murderer…
Why? Because it’s a deliberate act…on your part not to even try to give man the proper attention and love that God ordained and decreed that you do… according to God…and His Word.
Likewise… our hate for our fellow Christians… proves that… we have NOT made the transition… from spiritual death… to life.
IN OTHER WORDS…WE DID NOT REALLY… become born again.
IF…WE want to triumph over negative
situations… and… circumstances in life… WE MUST BE… rooted and grounded in love.
WE…can’t be contained when the love of God…
is operating in our lives…
Where there is NO LOVE… there is NO POWER to WIN.
What can separate us from the love of God? Romans 8:35
Not even tribulation… distress… famine… nakedness… peril… (a source of possible or imagined harm)…or… the sword… can separate us from His love.
When we’re motivated to serve God… for the wrong reasons… any attack from satan …will cause us to waver in our faith…
Our primary motive for doing what we do… for the Lord… should be born out…of our… unconditional LOVE for HIM…
Jesus said… IF you love Him…you will keep His
commandments
John 14:21
His commandments …ARE…
TO…LOVE GOD with all your heart… soul… mind… and… strength… and…
TO LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR…AS YOURSELF… as we see in
Matthew 22:37-39…
37 Jesus said to him… “‘You shall love the Lord your God… with all your heart… with all your soul… and with all your mind...’ 38 This… is the first… and… great… commandment.
39 And… the second… is like it:
‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
God wants to manifest His love to us… and… show us the authenticity of His love….
We must develop our faith in His love…
We can tear down satan’s wall of containment… by… abiding… and… living in the LOVE OF GOD
We must also be aware of the areas…in which… the
enemy attacks us… so that… we can avoid his devices.
He attacks our relationships… through negative emotions…
Negative emotions… are negative feelings… on the inside… that… are designed to move us… away from the will of God…move our focus off of the things of God…and onto the cares of this world in our lives.
Our primary focus in life… should be… to LOVE GOD… and OTHERS…OUR NEIGHBORS… unconditionally…
Giving them… the advantage… instead of taking advantage of them.

CUBE STEAK AND GRAVY
MY FRIENDS…
IF…you still aren’t using your slow cooker…crock pot… to make easy entrees…then…you must be crazy.
The best thing about the slow cooker is… you can start your dinner in the morning… and… have it ready for dinner.
In the mean time… you’re free to do what you please.
This tried and true oldie but goodie…is not only nostalgic…it’s marvelous… Cube Steak with Gravy is bound to be a family favorite…of all crockpot dinners.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb cube steaks or 1 lb tenderized steak
- 1⁄2 cup flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 tablespoons butter or 4 tablespoons margarine
- 2 cups beef broth
INSTRUCTIONS:
· Mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in small bowl.
· Coat meat in flour and BROWN in skillet for 5-10 mins til browned on both sides… remove to crockpot…
· Add 2 T butter to skillet and melt…
· Stir in 2-3 T of remaining flour mixture.
· Whisk in beef broth (may need to add water to thin if gravy is too thick)…
· Pour into crockpot and cover the meat. Place temperature on LOW cover and let cook…

Serve with rice…
mashed potatoes… or noodles.

CREAMED PEAS AND NEW POTATOES
Speaking of Oldies but goodies…This is one recipe that never goes out of style…Your Grandmother most likely made it for you a time or two. This is a great recipe for a side and starch together that is absolutely divine!
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 pounds small red potatoes… quartered
- 3 cups fresh or frozen peas…the glory of this is the frozen peas…
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons chopped or minced onion
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups 2% milk- heavy cream
- 1 cup half-and-half
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Place potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat…cover… and simmer until tender… 8-12 minutes. Drain…
- Meanwhile… place frozen peas and water in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat… cover and simmer until tender… 3-5 minutes. Drain.
- In a large saucepan…saute onion in
butter until tender.
Stir in the flour… salt and pepper until blended… gradually… add milk… and cream…half n half - Bring to a boil… cook… and stir… until thickened… about 2 minutes.
- Stir in potatoes and peas… heat through…and…SERVE!

DESSERT
CRANACHAN
Cranachan is a lovely Scottish dessert… with oats… raspberries… cream… and… whisky…
Perfect for a finishing flair… at a Burns Night supper for dessert…OR…for the finish to any meal… any night…
Now…Cranachan…may be difficult to pronounce…BUT…
definitely NOT difficult to enjoy!
We can buy Scotch whisky with no problem, and steel cut/pinhead oats. Heather honey may be a wee bit harder to come by… but there is no way we can get our hands on anything close to the fabulous cream which Scottish cows produce. Or… the incredibly delicious Scottish raspberries… which everyone in the UK covets when they are in season… Unfortunately… North American raspberries are a wee bit more sour… and less flavorful…However…any way you prepare this…it’s GRAND!
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup and
- 1/4 cup steel cut/pinhead oats
- 1/3 cup Scotch whisky (Glenfiddich or Glenlivet, use a top quality brand)
- 2 cups fresh raspberries
- 3 tbsp Scotch whisky
- 3 tbsp organic raw honey
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 cups of organic heavy whipping cream (it's important to use good quality cream)
Instructions
1. The night before you want to make the dessert… toast 1/3 cup of the oats in a cast iron or very heavy pan until very lightly browned- this won't take long, so keep a close eye, as you don't want burnt oats. Put the oats in a bowl and cover with 1/3 cup of whisky. Cover and let stand overnight to soak.
2. When you are ready to make the Cranachan… toast the second batch of oats… exactly the same as you did the first ones. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
3. Choose a few choice raspberries to decorate the tops and set them aside.
4. Crush the rest of the raspberries in a bowl… with a spatula or fork… (just a bit… we're not making jam)…
5. Sprinkle the raspberries with 2 teaspoons of sugar…
1 tablespoon of honey …and…
1 tablespoon of whisky. Mix well and set aside.
6. Whip the cream until it starts to thicken… then add the other 2 tablespoons of honey… and
2 tablespoons of whisky. Continue to whip until stiff peaks form… then fold in the whisky-soaked oats.
7. At this point… we are ready to assemble the dessert.
I would recommend doing this relatively close to serving time… as the dessert will taste better fresh (if possible, don't make it in the morning to serve for dinner).
8. Place a spoonful or two… of the raspberries to cover the bottom of the serving glass… then add some of the cream mixture.
9. Sprinkle the cream with some of the toasted oats… then repeat the layers.
Finish with the sprinkled oats… and… top with a raspberry or three.
10. Refrigerate until ready to eat… but take them out about 20 minutes before serving… for better flavor.
YOU WILL LOVE THIS SCOTTISH DESSERT AND WILL USE IT OFTEN TO IMPRESS YOUR FRIENDS!

DIY ALL THINGS THRU CHRIST
THIS HAS BEEN A VERY TRANQUIL AND PEACEFUL WEEK…
UNTIL WE HAD TORNADO ZEPHYRS IN THE AFTERNOONS…UP TO 40 MPH WINDS ALL
EVENING…THEN PEACE AND QUIET THE NEXT MORNING…ALONG WITH MY HAVING TO GLEAN THE
TWIG PILES EVERYDAY…TO BE ABLE TO WALK WITHOUT TRIPPING ON MY LAWN.
However…I did manage to do a wee DIY project this week…I had paid a visit to
Art in his domain…the garage…and view his on-going project…as I was sitting
chatting with him…He picked up these paper wrapped foam sections that come
protecting my chemo medicine…first of all the medicine comes in a huge
box…lined with these paper encased foam boards then…surrounded by gel ice packs
and more of the paper encased foam boards…Temperature controlled…I remember
telling him NOT to toss the foam boards out…I would find a use for them…and
THAT…I DID.
I took them back to the Pergola with me and on the
way along the side yard…I stopped and inserted four into the seat of the cedar
chest bench we made…they were the perfect height and depth to complete the cushioned area on top.
I sat on it…it was lovely and so took the rest to the Pergola…Once there. I
stuffed my footstool pillow casing (It’s a tapestry) with them on the bottom
and the pillow rested on top as the whole enchilada was place gingerly into the
tapestry pillow case and zipped up. Voila! Perfect fit. Now the footstool was
puffy and fluffy and feels great on tired bare feet.
Then the remainder of the foam boards went into the seat cushion of the chair I
use…same scenario…as the footstool…only this time…not quite so puffy…however
feels really good on a boney bottom…Now all the tapestry seat cushions and
footstool match in size and fluff…and all feel so good to sit in and on.
That was the only DIY I managed this week…but it was a really great one… that I
had been cogitating over for some time.

GOD’S CHERISHED GARDENS
HERE WE ARE AGAIN!
THIS WEEK HAS BEEN A Bit of a bugaboo for me…I have worked long and hard to landscape over landscaping and have won and lost quite a few battles with plant life and death.
All in all…I WIN!
However the entire endeavor has been extremely labor intensive!
I completed the job…looked at what I had accomplished and said… “I like it”
Then…as I prepared myself to sit and enjoy the fruits of my labors…I see my hummingbirds come to the feeders and NOT EAT… so I checked them out and they were FULL OF WEENSY ANTS!
I took them down and cleaned them up and realized I
hadn’t made any nectar…so into the house I went feeders in hand and made a
batch of nectar…that I had flash chilled …filled the feeders and had back
outside within 15 minutes…
I returned to my lovely seat propped up my feet to relax…when the hummingbirds
flew in and back out without eating…I checked out the feeders and low and
behold…they were all three full of ants again…
into the house I went cleansed them and filled them again…
(I used all of the nectar I had made)
Once again outside…I had to power spray the hangers so that the ants were long gone…which I did.
Oops! Not so fast! I barely got them hosed down and was hanging the second one when the first one was a floatilla of dead wee ants inside the nectar…I actually only was able to salvage one!
Sigh!!!
So by this time it was zephyr time and I retired to the house…knowing that the hummers would be able to eat from that last feeder and today…I would start the game all over again.
I fooled the ants this time though…I took ant spray out after taking the feeders down and dumping the ant filled nectar out…
And I sprayed the entire hummingbird feeding area and posts with ant killer spray.
While it dried…I made new nectar washed and cleaned the feeders…filled them and waited for about ½ an hour more then hung them up…HAPPINESS IS A FULL AND WELL FED HUMMINGBIRD…
HALLELUJAH!!!
So…folks I have to admit I am dismayed with my Sweet Pea Squirrel…
I haven’t seen her in a week…I am so concerned…
I have resigned myself to maybe NOT seeing her again…but won’t allow myself to
think WHY…
I have had a run on crows though…hahaha
They still come and badger me for food…
Believe me they are not thin and svelt either…they are all including babies fat and sassier than ever.
I still put the food for Sweet Pea out daily
waiting or her to return or present me with a wee family of squirrel kids.
So…STILL…WE WAIT!
Once I had planted the impatiens and vinca in the
circle I watered them…and enjoyed their lovely wee flowers…then the other day I
walked out and to my surprise the bird seed that had been resident there had
sprouted and I had a round lawn sporting lovely colorful flowers…
Today…the birdseed lawn has pretty much covered the flowers up…but given a day
or two more I will be able to pull the lawn up and out by hand with ease…and I
will!
I am so delighted…my first Zehprine Douhine that I am growing to make into a weeping tree rose has a blossom on it…it opened up…and is quite lovely…it’s tiny right now…but so is the bush…however…I am happy happy happy for that one wee blossom.
PRAISE REPORT!
I HAVE A TOMATO that I have harvested from one of my plants!
I can’t wait to eat it…but am not prepared with a
recipe yet for the meal in which to serve it.
I probably will slice it and we will try it all by itself to get the real
taste…
I have more lovely
CUCUMBERS ranging in sizes up to a GOOD 6 INCHES LONG AND STILL FULL OF BLOSSOMS…IT WON’T BE LONG BEFORE I BEGIN TO HARVEST MORE OF THEM…
MY BEANS HAVE TAKEN OVER AND I WILL HAVE SETS ON
THEM…BEFORE I GET THEM TRANSPLANTED
THEY WILL BE PRODUCING FRUIT…SO WILL HAVE TO COME UP WITH AN ALTERNATIVE PLAN.
THE PEPPERS ARE DOING FINE AND I PLANTED SOME PARSLEY IN MY HERB CAN GARDEN…IT SEEMS TO BE DOING WELLL TOO.
SO…DEAR ONES…
I WILL RETURN AFTER CHURCH TOMORROW AND SIT AND ADMIRE MY LABORS FRUIT…PLAN THE
WEEKS WORK AHEAD AND REST
